A saree or sari is a piece of unstitched clothing, worn by females. It is commonly worn in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bhutan and Burma. The length of a saree ranges between four to nine meters. A saree is worn along with a blouse and a petticoat. Blouse is an upper garment. It is also known as ravika or choli. A saree can be draped over the body in different styles. Sarees are made from a wide range of fabrics, including silk, cotton, polyester, nylon, rayon and Georgette. Fancy sarees are decorated with bhandani work, zardozi embroidery, gold threads, silver threads, pearls, precious stones and block prints.
